We were founded in 2023.
Our story didn't start there.
A brotherhood of mentors and young men, built on a lineage that runs back more than eighty years in this city.
Our founding brothers are members of the Eta Iota Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., chartered in Oklahoma City in 1942.
That is more than eighty years of Black men in this city committing to scholarship, service, and brotherhood before this program existed. Omega League OKC is what happens when that lineage gets focused on the next generation.
The program started with a founding cohort of ten young men in the fall of 2023, nine of whom are still here. The tenth moved out of town in January 2024. Forty-two young men are enrolled as of June 2026, and the first graduating class walked in May 2026.
One man's vision,
ten young men, one Saturday.
Omega League OKC grew from the vision of Dr. Byron Bonner, whose conviction was simple and stubborn: the young men of this city deserve consistent, present, positive male role models, not once but every month, for as long as it takes to reach graduation.
After he passed away, his brothers took up the idea and carried it forward. What began with ten young men in the fall of 2023 has grown into a program serving forty-two today, and the charge he set has not changed.
Develop morally grounded, capable, and confident young men. Empower underserved male youth to recognize their strengths, make positive choices, and reach their full potential, one mentoring moment at a time.

Omega League OKC Inc. empowers limited-resourced young men ages 8 to 17 through mentorship, guidance, and positive role models that build character, leadership, and confidence while reducing at-risk behaviors and strengthening communities.
A future where every young man, regardless of circumstance, has access to consistent mentorship, supportive relationships, and opportunities to reach his full potential as a leader, role model, and contributing member of the community.

before he ever meets your son.
That is not a coincidence; it is the standard the program was built on.
- Screened. Every mentor is admitted through the fraternity's membership process and must be a member in good standing.
- Trained. Prepared for the role before they ever sit with a young man.
- Held to a code. A standard of conduct that predates this program by over a century.
The commitment came first. Your son inherits it the day he walks in.
The men accountable for the work.
The program is organized around four pillars: manhood, scholarship, perseverance, and uplift. It is led by a board that answers for how they are kept.
